Gautam Gambhir has lent his support to the under-fire Indian bowling unit and said that it is the collective responsibility of the team to achieve a favourable result and the onus should not only lie with the bowlers. India had conceded an unforgiving 38 runs in the last two overs in the first ODI at Rajkot and that came to haunt them in a nail biting finish at the newly constructed stadium.

Gambhir however felt that it would be incorrect to blame the bowlers for the loss. "Only bowlers don't win the match for you. All the 11 players that get on to the field have to do it for you. Whenever the batsmen don't do well, bowlers cover up for them and vice versa. I don't believe in blaming one area of the game. I think the bowlers are putting in all the hard work, and the way they won the match for us against Pakistan in Delhi was commendable," said Gambhir.
